So what is composition? Composition is how your photo is arranged within it's "frame", or when you look through the camera's eye, how it's seen in the viewfinder (or lcd display).
When you see an image with real impact and eye appeal, it usually will have within it, at least one of the rules of composition. This is not, however, always the case - many experienced photographer's have broken the rules to create a unique and interesting image. In order to do that, you first need to know the rules, understand how they work and put that into practice over and over again.
This first simple tutorial explains the basics of a few of the rules of composition. It was written for a student, so there are instructions to submit your photos - this isn't necessary for you to do, however if you really want to, feel free to contact me for an email address.
