This is the second tutorial in the removing backgrounds series. This makes use of the extraction filter in Photoshop CS2.
As far as I know, this filter is only available in Adobe's Photoshop, so this tutorial will not work in other programs, and will not work in earlier versions of Photoshop.
The extraction filter extracts your image from it's background, leaving you with the selection you want to keep and a transparent background.
